King's English

Congressman Steve King is a big supporter of the the English language! During his career in the U.S. House of Representatives, he has introduced a bill to make English the official language of the United States six times! None of these bills have made it out of committee, but, keep trying, Representative!

In honor of his persistence, we present a weekly post, "King's English."

Each week we give you a way to increase your vocabulary and build your understanding of the language that has served America well since 1492.

Fun Fact!
The 2011 Missouri River Flood affected over 1 million acres of farmland in the midwest!  Congressman King backed no legislation to help farmers with the cost of reclaiming the land or getting more reasonable flood insurance.

He did, however, fly over the river with his pal, Michelle Bachmann!

C'mon, Steve!  At least get us a commemorative coin!
